Our public sector client is seeking a HR Assistant

£15.59 per hour PAYE

3 months - possible extension

2-3 days per week in the office, can be more if preferred -Wandsworth - HYBRID

Job Purpose

A HR Assistant Adviser is required to support the HR Consultancy Team. Reporting to the Lead HR Consultancy Adviser you will help with ensuring that the HR team are responding to the needs of managers in the directorates, by developing an understanding of key employment policies and procedures

  • Assistance with all aspects of the day to day operation of the HR team
  • Maintaining quality service by following organisation standards
  • Welcome new employees to the organisation by conducting orientation.
  • Answer the telephone, relay messages, and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Provide secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information.
  • Develop and maintain digital training Intranet.
  • Providing a full range of administration support for HR related matters.
  • Supporting and assisting the HR team across employee relations, on-boarding, payroll.
  • Ensuring HR Systems are used to full functionality.
  • Reporting and analysing data to share with team and organisation.
  • Providing a responsive and professional service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting and actively participating in HR development projects to assist with the on-going improvement of the HR Service; seeking out opportunities to refine and streamline practice

    Key Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for general HR queries providing advice on HR policies and procedures, and terms and conditions of employment
  • Provide a full range of HR administration including; drafting letters, contracts, honorary contracts filing, providing references, stationery orders etc.
  • Manage the HR inbox, responding to general queries regarding annual leave, references, contractual enquiries and honorary contracts. Responding within SLA's and escalating where necessary.
  • Systems support - maintain the general upkeep of the HR Information Systems. Provide support to staff using the system, delivering training and support sessions for key stakeholders and managers where necessary.
  • Support Snr HR Advisor and HR Advisor with compliance across the hospital. Update and monitor our trackers on sickness, employment changes, right to work checks, DBS, professional registrations.
  • Support HR Advisor with end to end processing of Payroll including new starters, employment changes and leavers.
  • Support managers with informal stages of sickness management. Take minutes in formal sickness and employee relations meetings as requested.
  • Provide support and advice on ad-hoc HR projects.
  • Assisting the Resourcing team with regular recruitment days.
