The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will join the production team, this role will be both in-house and on-site. You will be responsible for the general mechanical fitting and assembly of automation machinery and sub-assemblies, working from engineering drawings, and ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and in a timely fashion.
You will work on machine builds through to complete automation lines, overseeing projects from build in the workshops through to dismantling and reassembly at the customer’s site. 

Duties:
Interpret engineering drawings 
Perform machine assembly including building assemblies and sub-assemblies, electrical and pneumatic systems using general hand tools and power tools as required
Act as a great ambassador for the company
Work as part of a team with a positive attitude

The Candidate
Ideally a trained apprentice and/or qualified Mechanical Fitter/Assembler
Experienced in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and following written instructions and method statements
Familiar with working in hygienic environments and health and safety requirements
Previous experience with pneumatic systems and valves
Experienced in working on medium-sized assemblies and sub-assemblies
Willingness to travel/work away from home on occasion
Full UK driving licence (with 3 penalty points or less) 
Valid passport – with no convictions preventing travel

Salary
The salary offered for this position is £30,000- £35,300 if a candidate can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
