Media Account Executive - Hybrid

My client is looking for a creative individual to fill the role of Media Account Executive to work in their marketing agency in London on a hybrid basis. 

As a Media Account Executive, you will be a key member of their Client Services team, supporting the Account Director and Account Manager. They seek a dynamic individual passionate about media and digital marketing, eager to learn and grow in the industry. Collaborating with other Account Executives and Account Managers, you will help plan and execute comprehensive media strategies, with a focus on digital platforms like Facebook, Digital Display (Programmatic), PPC, and property portals.

You will engage in all aspects of media planning and buying, gaining a deep understanding of our processes and client needs. Your primary goal will be to master key activities, from media bookings to campaign analysis. This includes practical experience with media booking systems, supplier coordination, purchase orders, and schedule maintenance.

Job responsibilities

  • Learn and master the key activities we undertake for clients, aiming to become competent in these tasks after the formal training period.
  • Use the booking system to make, amend, and cancel bookings for all client activities, ensuring booked media activity is updated and shared within 24 hours of the initial booking.
  • Communicate clients' needs to suppliers by providing clear briefs and setting performance expectations.
  • Raise purchase orders for media owners, ensuring detailed and comprehensive booking emails are sent.
  • Amend media bookings and schedules as directed by Account Managers or clients.
  • Raise and format schedules to be clear and client-friendly, sending out schedules weekly on Fridays before 3 pm and within 24 hours of any new bookings.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of work, maximising profitability for the company.
  • Respond to all client emails within two hours, or as soon as possible if out of office.
  • Build effective relationships with clients in collaboration with Account Managers.
  • Regularly report on campaign success without client prompts, providing analysis and recommendations for future activities.
  • Create contact reports with clear actions and responsibilities following client calls, sharing them the same day.
  • Gather data, research, and intelligence for client documents, researching media placements and presenting findings clearly and in line with client expectations and agency SLA.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Media, Marketing, Business, or another relevant degree/diploma is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience in client management within a service-provision organisation.
  • Experience working within an agency environment is desirable.
  • Experience liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Knowledge of digital marketing communications.
  • Knowledge of media bookings/schedules is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong writing, grammatical and proofing skills.
  • Skilled at prioritising and managing your own time across multiple clients in a fast-paced working environment.
