As a Desktop Support Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our end-user computing environment. You will be responsible for providing first-line technical support, resolving hardware and software issues, and assisting with various IT projects. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective desktop support to end-users, both in-person and remotely.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Assist with the deployment and management of software applications.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and other systems.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures in the company’s knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or in a similar technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and common enterprise applications.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
