Principal People are working with a Civil Engineering, Construction and Groundworks organisation to recruit a Trainee Health and Safety Adviser to provide on-site health and safety support across their project base in the NE region between Blackpool and Stoke-on-Trent.
Working closely with a small health and safety team reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your experience within the health and safety field whilst receiving support with your own development from an experienced Health and Safety Manager.
Trainee Health and Safety Advisor – £30,000-£40,000 + Package – Civil Engineering – Stockport - ID: (phone number removed)
The successful Trainee Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
• Carrying out on-site Health and Safety duties, including accident investigations, site audits, risk assessments and site inductions.
• Offering appropriate advice and support to the on-site staff around Health and Safety matters.
• Creating and Implementing practical and effective methods to promote awareness of Health and Safety.
• Creating positive relationships with the sites to help improve the HSE Culture across the business.
The successful Trainee Health and Safety Advisor will have:
• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of a business.
• A passion and commitment towards health and safety as well as their own development within the industry.
