One of Barking's most delightful primary schools is looking to take on academically strong and enthusiastic graduates from September 2024, to help provide additional academic support to students. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for those looking to gain experience prior to starting teacher training.

About the Teaching Assistant Role:

In this Teaching Assistant role, you will be helping to support students with and without Special Educational Needs. You help to inspire and guide young learners through their academic journey whilst supporting their social and emotional development. Ideally, you will be an aspiring teacher with a proactive and determined nature.

Key Responsibilities for Teaching Assistant:

• Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation.
• Provide 1-1 support for children with SEN.
• Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the needs of every child in the classroom.
• Support social and emotional development for all and be a positive role model.

Requirements for Teaching Assistant:

• Minimum education - Undergraduate Degree.
• Experience working within the education sector is desired.
• Academically strong and enthusiastic about education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
• An enhanced DBS on the online update service is desired but not necessary.
