RLE International is working on behalf of their Essex based Automotive Client, who are currently looking for a Quality/Homologation Senior Engineer - Special Vehicles to support and join their expanding team.

Position Description:

Quality/Homologation Senior Engineer - Special Vehicles

Rate: £29.52 (via PAYE Umbrella) increasing after 13 weeks to £35.65 under AWR’s – Agency Worker Regulations.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client’s Pro Special Vehicle Engineering team to develop special vehicles based on their commercial vehicle product line-up.  This position relies on a high level of collaboration with the special vehicle development team and the end user to develop proposals that support their individual use case requirements and delivering them with industry leading uptime and improving customer satisfaction.

Skills required:

  • Development, implementation, and management of vehicle operations quality processes whether body, paint, electrical system etc.
  • Homologation and type approval for vehicles with added content
  • Facility installations and requirements to deliver the vehicle quality requirements whether body, paint, electrical system etc.
  • Development of roadmaps for quality improvements implementing them and coaching the team through the change

Experience required:

  •  Prototype/Manufacturing quality leadership experience
  •  Working knowledge of vehicle homologation and type approval
  •  Managing ISO 9001 in an automotive business
  •  A high level of presentation and communication to senior executive level

Experience Preferred:

  • Special Vehicle quality leadership experience
  • Implementing ISO 9001 into an automotive business

Education required:

Engineering Degree in relevant subject or equivalent

Education preferred:

Master’s degree in relevant subject

Additional Information:

**INSIDE IR35**

Travel: UK -  To support supplier selection and delivery travelling to their location(s) as required

On site – 5 days (hybrid option – NO)
