About the Role: Venture Contracts is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a leading housebuilder for the position of Senior Site Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a respected construction team, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of residential developments. As a Senior Site Manager, you will report directly to the Contracts Manager and be responsible for managing the construction site in accordance with company guidelines and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management: Oversee the construction site to ensure the development is completed on time, within budget, and to specified quality and safety standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all quality and safety inspections meet company and industry standards, including adherence to NHBC/LABC/Premier standards.
- Coordination: Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including warranty providers, local authorities, and utility companies, to ensure the build programme is achieved.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for the development, including staff inductions, health, safety, and environment documentation, timesheets, incident reports, and quality control checklists.
- Material Management: Ensure materials are ordered, checked, and stored in accordance with company guidelines.
- Workforce Supervision: Direct and supervise the activities of the on-site workforce, including subcontractors, ensuring work is completed on time, to quality standards, and within budget.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Sales and Customer Care, to meet targets, resolve customer care issues promptly, and provide updates on plot progress.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment Policy to minimize incidents and accidents on-site.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience managing the full lifecycle of a construction development site, particularly within the housebuilding industry.
- Strong understanding of NHBC, LABC, or Premier standards.
- In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
- Essential qualifications include a current CSCS card and SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- A full UK Driving Licence is required.
- Preferably qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management.
