Position: Buyer (Subcontractor and Material)

Hill Mcglynn Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency, and we are excited to be recruiting for a regional main contractor based in the south east. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Buyer to join their team.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement of materials and subcontractors for various projects.
• Negotiate contracts and secure the best prices for materials and services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules.
• Monitor and manage budgets for procurement activities.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Buyer, with a focus on both materials and subcontractor procurement.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of construction materials and industry standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant qualifications in procurement or a related field are preferred.
