Do you want to be part of large-scale projects that will see an improvement to critical infrastructure networks in the region?

Principal People are working with a highly respected principal contractor that operates across civil engineering and utility services to recruit a SHEQ Manager to oversee and drive forward the health and safety function across critical infrastructure projects.

The role is covering the infrastructure works across the east midlands with an office near Peterborough. The successful SHEQ Manager will be reporting to the Head of Health and Safety whilst managing a team of SHEQ Advisors.

The Successful Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager will be responsible for:
  • Developing and assisting the implementation of the SHEQ strategy across the organisation.
  • Providing expert advice on health, safety, environmental, and wellbeing matters to senior leadership and project teams.
  • Promoting a culture of openness, competence, and compliance across all levels.
  • Managing and coordinate the SHEQ team, ensuring adequate resources and support are provided.
  • Leading strategic forums and initiatives to foster collaboration and share best practices.
  • Oversee SHEQ compliance, incident investigations, and continuous improvement efforts.
The Successful Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager will hold;
As a minimum:
  • NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
  • Experience in the infrastructure or construction sector.
  • Experience in managing a team of SHEQ professionals.
Desirably:
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Member of IOSH.
  • Environmental qualifications or memberships.
  • CDM experience and knowledge.
In return, the Successful Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager will receive:
