Our client is medium sized manufacturer with a global presence, they are looking to recruit a buyer to work in their purchasing team. You will have a background in a similar position in a manufacturing environment.

The client is growing with a very healthy future order book and modern facilities, making the office environment a pleasure to work in.

The role of buyer at the company is varied, so the right candidate will need to flexible, there is a possibility of hybrid working in the future, but at the start the role is office based.

The Role

The role is varied and can be fast paced, in will include, but is not limited to....

• Negotiate best price and lead times from suppliers
• Identify opportunities for innovation, cost savings and waste reduction
• Manage and set up contracts
• Monitor low stocks
• Supplier non-conformance
• Manage lead times and delivery schedules to manufacturing orders and needs

The right buyer candidate will have a background in manufacturing, have good technical knowledge, be competent in dealing with suppliers and internal parties alike. You will have a change mindset and be always looking for new ways to improve and challenge for the benefit of the company.

The you will get a salary up to £33k, 35 days holidays, share scheme, fantastic pension contributions, wellbeing days off and many others, it really is a company that looks after it's employees.
