Project Manager - Asset Optimisation

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our clients Asset Optimisation team on a temporary basis. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our client optimises their assets effectively, meeting disposals targets and implementing a new disposals policy.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Conduct options appraisals on underperforming housing stock.
  • Assess the condition of properties/schemes for inclusion in options appraisals.
  • Make and support recommendations for the best use of assets, including retention, disposal, tenure change, or redevelopment.
  • Prepare preferred options in line with procurement guidelines for disposal or reinvestment.
  • Write reports to ensure individual properties go through the relevant authorisation process.
  • Help the team reach annual disposal targets and budgets.
  • Apply the disposals policy when making decisions on housing stock.
  • Liaise with residents, local authorities, partner Registered Providers, potential purchasers, and Solicitors.
  • Collaborate with the Empty Homes team and maintain close working relationships with Operations Managing Directors.
  • Ensure compliance with the HCA Regulatory Code.
  • Work on asset rationalisation projects as part of a team.
  • Proactively manage voids data to identify prospective disposals weekly.
  • Keep trackers updated to reflect the status of progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Housing or Asset Management role.
  • Proven ability to write reports for Director-level approval.
  • Computer literate with an understanding of asset management and housing management systems.
  • Knowledge of full options appraisal techniques.
  • Understanding of different valuation techniques.
  • Ability to work with external partners, including Agents, Auctioneers, and Solicitors.
  • Capable of communicating recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small, high-achieving team.
