Blue Water Recruitment are currently recruiting a H&S Manager to join a Housing Developer in South Wales.

The successful candidate will be based in their Swansea Office but will be covering multiple sites in South Wales and England.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Ensure that safety systems and plans meet the relevant safety standards.
• Ensure that safety issues are discussed at project review meetings.
• Advise and guide all relevant personnel in setting up and maintaining safety systems.
• Keep clear records to comply with company intern audit standards.
• Assist managers with safety submissions, risk assessments and method statements.
• Communicate and promote the health & safety management ethos and concepts
• Delivering training.
• Ensure that the project is working to the relevant statutory health & safety documentation.
• Prepare monthly reports and submit in agreed format
• Carry out site safety inspections.
• Identify areas for improvement and issues, submitting to project team.
• Monitor the adequacy of accident inspection and reporting.
• Carry out safety audits.

 Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor or Manager within the construction industry
• Able to deliver Health & Safety training to site personnel.
• Qualification in Occupational Health & safety (NEBOSH & IOSH)
• Able to communicate at all levels within the project organisation.
• Thorough knowledge of OHSAS 45001 standards.
• Capable of leading accident investigations
• CSCS card
