This Reward and Benefit Specialist will play a crucial role within the Human Resources & Organisational Development (People Team) of a prominent public sector organisation based in London. Reporting directly to the Director of People Services, this position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive reward and compensation strategy that aligns with the organisation's People Strategy.

The role involves overseeing all aspects of the organisation's compensation, benefits, and reward programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and supportive of the strategic objectives. This position will also ensure compliance with public sector pay regulations and work closely with senior leadership to support the goals of attracting, retaining, and motivating top talent.

Main Duties

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive reward and compensation strategy that supports the organisation's objectives and aligns with public sector regulations.
  2. Compensation Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and management of compensation structures, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  3. Benefits Administration: Lead the evaluation, selection, and management of employee benefit programs, ensuring they align with the needs of the workforce and the strategic goals of the organisation.
  4. Pay Equity: Ensure that all reward and compensation practices promote pay equity and transparency across the organisation.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior leadership, trade unions, and other stakeholders to effectively communicate and implement reward strategies.
  6. Data Analysis and Reporting: Oversee the analysis of compensation data and prepare reports to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all compensation and reward practices comply with public sector regulations and legal requirements.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of reward and compensation processes.
